Well run hotel in a fantastic location

We stayed here as a family over the New Year. Despite being an incredibly busy time of year both for the hotel and neighbourhood, the Luma team didn’t miss a beat in ensuring a great experience. The New Year party and chance to see the ball drop without facing the crowds was incredible.

Great experience, especially if you're going for New Year's.

The room was much larger than I expected, with a very comfortable Metro Studio. It was perfect for a couple with one child. All the concierges were very kind. Plus, they have a robot that delivers items to the rooms on its own. The location is perfect for winter since Grand Central is nearby, Bryant Park with the Winter Village is just around the corner, and all the subway lines toward Broadway are only 1 or 2 blocks away. Tons of options for dining, grabbing a coffee, pharmacies—everything within a one-block radius.

Amazing experience with hotel Luma on New Years

Rooms are nice and clean, larger than in pictures, great view. Close to Bryant Park and Times square. Walked everywhere enjoying city. Team was great, very helpful and patient with all hassle of New Year season. I would definitely go back on my next visit.

New Year's Eve 2024

We visited the Luma Hotel Time Square and attended the New Year's Eve Party. We had a wonderful time. There were heavy appetizers and open bar along with a DJ and a photo booth. The staff was very attentive to our needs. It was a fun experience. We even had the opportunity to view the Ball Drop to ring in 2025.

Excellent experience

I stayed at Luma over the New Years Eve weekend and it was a fabulous stay. I wouldn’t change one thing. Our flight landed really early in the morning at 6 AM and the hotel was able to accommodate an earlier check-in for us. We stayed in the Luma suite and the room was fantastic. It had the best view of the ball dropping. The room itself was great and the bed was super comfortable. The best thing about this day was the service from all of the employees from the person opening the door to housekeeping. Everyone was so nice and always said hello and greeted with a smile. I’m a travel agent, and would highly recommend this hotel to anyone who wants to be in the hustle and bustle of Times Square. The hotel is not over crowded and in a really great location. Anything you could want is nearby. Thanks Luma!
